I just found out that the person being signed for is not a trustworthy person and told many lies. Is there any way that you can go to the bail bonder and ask not to be the signee anymore and have the man go back to jail?
So if I get the jail bond revoked, so then what happens for me and the person that got bonded?

I paid 10% bale bond for someone and the person was told that if he does something that sends him to jail one more time, the person who got him a bail bond will have to pay the full bond. I just found out he has not paid his fines for this month. Could this make him go to jail? If so, what can he do to prevent that?

I was looking at someones court history. They are supposedly still in jail and never out on bail, but this “Order Exonerating Bond/bail” made me think they they are out, or were out and are back in jail now. What do you think it means?

Let’s examine this situation:

John is being accused of robbery. He’s taken to jail for paper work or something else. He is being held in jail. If we have the innocent until proven guilty theory. Then what’s a bail bond for? Can they legally hold me at the jail until the court date?

It doesn’t make sense. Basically if I am John (in the example ^) how does a bail bond convince me to show up to court. Especially if someone else is going to pay for my bond. WHY A BAIL BOND? How does the whole bail bond thing play in?

I’m obviously so confused.

What happens if you help a friend pay a partial of his bail bond amount (It was $5000 and you paid $3000 of it with your credit card) and then your friend jumps bail? You didn’t put any collateral or nothing. Can the bail bondsman come after you for the full bail amount which is $50,000? Because that’s what’s happenning to my friend right now. The Bail bondsman is hounding him because he paid for some of the bail for his friend. Can they really come after your house or garnish your wages even though you didn’t sign anything for collateral? No, he did not sign anything other than the credit card receipt. He knows for sure he didn’t put any collateral down. Please, any lawyers out there?
