All Things Bail Bonds

I was looking at someones court history. They are supposedly still in jail and never out on bail, but this “Order Exonerating Bond/bail” made me think they they are out, or were out and are back in jail now. What do you think it means?

i’m going to try and get a bail bond for my friend who has been incarcerated literally at the other end of the country. i know there are legal documents i need to sign, but i cannot afford travel costs. is there anyway to do it long distance?

I was going thru the questions and I found a question asking if a bond could be revoked that was put up thru a bail bond so that he would not have to pay the full bond if his daughter did not show up. I always thought that went you used a bail bond company you only put up a percentage of the bail. The bail bond company kept this as their fee for putting up the rest and if the bail was forfeitted, they were the ones who had to pay the rest of the bail and then they were the ones that tried to find the person who skipped and bring them back so that they would get their money back from the court..

I was thrown in jail and my stepdad put in a good word to a bail bondsmen to get me out for free but we worked out a payment plan and everything was good. then I went to my court date and the charges were dropped, now the bail bondsmen is wanting half of his money (1000$) now or he is going to revoke my bond even though this is not what we agreed to originaly. my question is since the charges were dropped can they put me back in jail for getting my bond revoked?

I’ve just been watching “Dog the Bounty Hunter” (I’m in the UK).

I have no idea how this system works! I know that someone who is arrested has to pay money to get bail, but do they get it back if they show up for court?

How does a Bail bondsman make money? Do they lend money to those who can’t afford to find their own bail money? How does the Bondsman make money on this?

And where do Bounty Hunters fit into this?

Since i’ve been bailed out by a bail-bondsmen, now every month i have to make payments, to pay off the whole bail bonds debt. This month i couldn’t find a way to make any money for my bills. So i have NO IDEA, how I’m gonna be able to pay the bail-bondsmen. So what happens if i don’t pay them?

In california if you are the co-signer on someones bond (i know that makes you equaly responsible) if they dont pay, will the company go after the offender first or the co-signer? If the offender has served his time on the sentece the bail was posted for, can they take him back for not paying, or will they just by-pass him and go for the co-signer…. thanks
