This is the last time I’m going to ask about bail bonds.
Let’s examine this situation:
John is being accused of robbery. He’s taken to jail for paper work or something else. He is being held in jail. If we have the innocent until proven guilty theory. Then what’s a bail bond for? Can they legally hold me at the jail until the court date?
It doesn’t make sense. Basically if I am John (in the example ^) how does a bail bond convince me to show up to court. Especially if someone else is going to pay for my bond. WHY A BAIL BOND? How does the whole bail bond thing play in?
I’m obviously so confused.

Could you get your money back or a few back if you’ve already payed 10% which was $2000…. when an immate got out of jail and a few days later got arrested and sent to jail again? Or if I bail him out again will the bail bond lower the price a little since he got back to jail in such a days?

He was making monthly payments to the bail bondsman but charges against him were dismissed within a couple weeks so he quit paying. In california if you are the co-signer on someones bond (i know that makes you equaly responsible) if they dont pay, will the company go after the offender first or the co-signer? If the offender has served his time on the sentece the bail was posted for, can they take him back for not paying, or will they just by-pass him and go for the co-signer…. thanks

lets say this to all the dumb ones that are brain washed. Let say a bails bondman bails at least 10 people in one day all bails being 10,000 or above which is the usual case senerio. Do the math at 10%. I think jail looks much nicer. I been to jail and it don’t hurt that bad. I could have put myself through college a couple of times. lol
people wake up you can’t be making that much money to support your families being taxed by the gov to go to work ,eat, and send your kids to school not to mention house payments. People wake up we are being robbed. Who really belongs in jail uncle sam?

this bail bond man told me that it’s 10% in the first place already so that’s why I agree to go with him. Unless I could go somewhere else for bail bond.
