I was going thru the questions and I found a question asking if a bond could be revoked that was put up thru a bail bond so that he would not have to pay the full bond if his daughter did not show up. I always thought that went you used a bail bond company you only put up a percentage of the bail. I have no idea how this system works! I know that someone who is arrested has to pay money to get bail, but do they get it back if they show up for court?
How does a Bail bondsman make money? Do they lend money to those who can’t afford to find their own bail money? How does the Bondsman make money on this?
And where do Bounty Hunters fit into this?

There’s been an incident near here where a drunk driver went up a driveway, hit a tree and debris knocked a kid unconsious and broke his finger while shooting hoops. The guy continued through the garage, over an embankment and sunk his SUV in a retention pond. He was released after paying 100 dollars. Seemed like he got off easy considering the damage.

I finished a year apprenticeship, and during that year only made 200 a week to basically work 24/7. I worked my ass off to get that license and am broke as hell. I started my own business with the help of my dad, and am trying to get business. Unfortunately I missed most of the phone book deadlines, and the only ad I will have won’t be out till July.
I am trying other ideas in the meantime, I have been doing mail outs but that is costing a lot of money and not getting any good responses, I end up getting calls for risky bonds, which I wan’t no part of. I might start calling once I get the call list, as the jail has a list of people that get arrested the previous day, that way I might get some bonds in the meantime.
My question is, does anyone know of any bondsman or maybe have any ideas that may help me out? I am a Florida bail bondsman. I pass out cards to everyone I see or meet. Im wondering if there are any public places you might know of that have boards for cards also
Lol, I think the jail down here uses the phone book, but last time I asked the people at the jail they didn’t want to tell me which one they used (thats the stupidest think I have heard, you think an overcrowded jail like ours would be a little more cooperative with the bondsman)
