You are dealing with the scum of the earth in that job, are you up to it?
well not all of us are the scum of the earth. folks do get arrested who are innocent at time.
however, thae bail bond business can be increadibly profitable, if you are up to it.
i have a client who owns a bail bonds company, and hw is worth about 10 to 15 million dollars.
It can be a good profitable business, but you need some capital and experience before you start.
I guess Bob has never had the need for a bail bond or has watched to much TV. I have been in the business for over 28 years and its been good to me and my family. I can see why some people would first think SCUM, but actually 99.9% of the time you would be dealing with hard working moms and dads who have a kid jail on a first time offense.
If you are interested in becoming a bail bonds agent your first step is to contact the “DOI” department of insurance in your state ( FYI - its easier to call 411 for the phone number, rather than trying to find it on-line, in any event I have included a link to all state DOI websites and also to bail laws by state.). Ask for agent licensing and inquire about what steps are required to be licensed. After completing the state requirements you are eligible to be appointed by an insurance who has authority to post bail bonds in your state.
Below is a link to request a bail agents appointment form. Please indicate what city and state and I will send you the correct application.
