he will probably get a hefty fine and will have to go to some AA meetings.. they will scare the devil out of him… the purpose of going to court is part of the law.. he will need a lawyer and he will be fined anywhere from courtcost upto 700 dollars and he better be real nice watch his ps and qs and yes sir no sir.. very apoligetic very sorry and very polite…

Public intoxication would mean he more than likely will just be fined and if he can pay the fine he should not be put on probation ( remember though no one can tell you for sure what a sentence will be, judges have a good deal of discretion )

As far as bail, if you posted a cash bond then the money would be returned by the agency that accepted the money in the first place.

What is more common is to pay a bondsman 10% roughly of the total bond and he will sign the person’s bond for release. In this case you are hiring the bondsman and there will be no return of money. Many people choose this option because of limited funds, it is a lot easier to come up with $20 to pay a bondsman than it is to come up with $200 for a cash bond.
