All Things Bail Bonds

Any violation of the conditions of the bail bond will mean imprisonment and forfeiture of the bond.

bail bond is to insure that the person your bailing out does not run from the law, ie: shows up for court hearings, trials etc.

If they break the law again, you do not have to pay the full amount,,, he just goes back to jail … simple,

But if he fails to show for a court hearing, or trial etc… without him contacting them ahead with an excuse etc… he will be considered a run a way.. so to speak…. in this case you will have to pay the full amount of the bond that the bail bond person paid to the courts on your behalf.

posting bail is your guarantee that that person will show up for future court dates.

when you post bail thru bail bonds it cost you 10% of the bail. And possibly some other type of colateral such as a house/property/vehicle. The bail bonds in turn post bail for your person, they post the full amount, they are let out on bail. When this person has full filled thier court dates and the matter is settled the bail bonds gets all thier money back,,, and the bail bond keeps your 10% that is where they make thier money.

If you signed over collateral along with the 10% and your person does not show up for thier court date, you could loose everything…

In most cases it is best to not post bail… the due rights process is not that lengthy… and you wont risk your livelyhood for someone who has messed up so bad they ended up in jail!! with a bail, because most first time offenses and alot of other offenses are let out on thier own recongnences…
