What is the point of a bail bond for a serious crime, when this gives the culprit a chance to get away, also his victims or their family are not compensated for his dirty duty?

because being out of prison is a lot better than being in. Bail is so that the criminal will come to trial, or else they will not get that money back.

Because reasonable bail is a Constitutionally guaranteed right (That’s capital “C” as in the US Constitution). If we begin to pick and choose what rights are given and what rights are taken, are you prepared as woman to be relagated again to second-class citizen?

And, the unconvicted are ASSUMED innocent UNTIL PROVEN guilty. We as a democratic nation ostensibly do not jail the innocent.
