bail bonds
William R asked:

I have been doing some research about the bail bonds careers (not bounty hunting). I find myself wanting to start a business like that but I’m not sure if it is a profitable one or not. What do you all think?

I am wondering where the bail bond money goes to when the accused is being released on bail bond. Will it go to the court? Is that so, would it be possible the court woul release high-risk criminals on bail as a sort of income.
Please enlighten me.

I finished a year apprenticeship, and during that year only made 200 a week to basically work 24/7. I worked my ass off to get that license and am broke as hell. I started my own business with the help of my dad, and am trying to get business. Unfortunately I missed most of the phone book deadlines, and the only ad I will have won’t be out till July.
I am trying other ideas in the meantime, I have been doing mail outs but that is costing a lot of money and not getting any good responses, I end up getting calls for risky bonds, which I wan’t no part of. I might start calling once I get the call list, as the jail has a list of people that get arrested the previous day, that way I might get some bonds in the meantime.
My question is, does anyone know of any bondsman or maybe have any ideas that may help me out? I am a Florida bail bondsman. I pass out cards to everyone I see or meet. Im wondering if there are any public places you might know of that have boards for cards also

Sticky Bail Bond Issues?

bail bonds
And your point is….. asked:

This is a sticky one: posted initial bond for husband in 2/07 (Amount paid 400.00 up front premium), while out on bond is re-arrested and pending court proceedings, because it was Easter, the initial company was dragging their feet, and putting me through an emotional ringer for over 12 hours, finally asking for pink slip to my husbands very nice truck. Due to countless hours of frustration, we found another company that willingly agreed to post the new bail amount. ( paid 1000.00 up front)Upon my husband walking out of a 6 hour release processes was put back in custody, because the initial bond company revoked the first (feelings got hurt) Second company posted the additional amount and he was released. Due to some slow payments this company showed up to court appearance and revoked bail and had him placed back into custody with no warning. Again found a 3rd company that put up bond and released my husband, amount paid was (500.00 with additional payment terms) 2 days prior to the pay
payment expiration my husband went to bond company and tried to pay with credit card and was turned away, (now one of his stipulations becuase he was double bonded was to literally check in daily, which he had been doing) The day that final payment was due, two bounty hunters with guns visiable and pulled entered my home and proceeded to search for my husband. Immediately they called and we were told if we had the money that very moment of only 500 then they would let him go. We had been in contact with the finance dept all morning.
4th and final company then steps in and has my husband released paid 800.00 and all is and continues to be fine. Second Company requested and was granted full bond exhonoriation yet continues to try and collect full amount from husband and I on seperate billings and has turned us into collection, even though they have been fully released? What are my legal rights in this, can i get premium back?
How can I get the others to request the same of the courts
he courts a full exhonhoration, as each as sent me to collection for full amounts, regardless of what they ended up doing with his custody status?
The third company that sent the bounty hunters for no reason, refuses to release any facts about these men, it is critical as they broke my toe, and had gus drawn on me and my two small children, al the while my husband was already in custody outside? How can I get this info to proceed with proper legal filings
hLet me add one additional detail for the sake of hibernia’s quick response: what the bond companies are doing goes agains the Fair Credit Consumer Reporting act, was looking for additional legal actions, Husband is not a thug, cuurent assailants have bee apprehended and are being prosecuted.. Get your facts before you offer such slamming uncalled for comments next time.

My question is:

Why even issue a bail bond if you know that the bond gives that person a chance to skip town.

What is a bail bond for?
