G. asked:
How does a bail-bond work? If someone is arrested for assault and they have money in the bank, can the jailed person somehow use a debit or bank transfer.
sam i am asked:
Someone gets arrested, and then pays 10% of the bail amount, and is released. A few days later, the D.A. decides not to press charges due to NO evidence, and the case is dismissed. Can that person get their 10% back? That person has a document that says something about “bond exhonoration, blah-blah-blah”. Does that mean they were supposed to get that money back? Or perhaps they DID get that money back?
Ted asked:

My boyfriend was extradited and put in jail in another state. He does have the option of getting a bail bond so he can be out of jail while waiting for a court date. We have friends in Missouri, where he is, so he could stay with them. But, does someone who gets a bail bond and is waiting outside of jail for court more likely get a later date than someone who stays in jail waiting for a court date? We want him to get a court date asap and if staying in jail will help, we’d rather do that and not waste money on a bail bond. Thank you!

THE PERSON WAS RE-ARRESTED WHILE ON BOND, THEN THE BONDSMAN SIGNED OFF HIS BOND. IS THE PERSON OR THE CO-SIGNER STILL LIABLE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE BOND? ANY HELP ON THIS MATTER WOULD BE APPRECIATED, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
