All Things Bail Bonds

She nedds to call the bailbondsman and revoke the bond. They will have to find him for this to happen but if she doesn’t make contact with them this will come back on her. She needs to tell them where he is so they can call the police in Europe and the can extradite him back to be out in jail. I hope everything works out for her Good Luck!

Here’s how a bail bond works:
Court sets bond at, say, $50,000
Bondsman agrees to front the money to the court for 20%
Someone steps forward with $10,000 for the bondsman
Bondsman executes paperwork with the court securing the $50,000 (no money actually changes hands)
Guy skips town and misses court date
Court revokes the bond and puts out a warrant
Bondsman has 30 days to produce the person or produce $50,000

That’s it. Your cousin just lost ten grand (or however much she put up) and that’s it. The cops aren’t coming after her (except for questioning her about where he is), the bondsman isn’t coming after her (except for questioning her about where he is). She’ll never see the ten grand again (unless this guy now in Europe pays her back), but she is in no legal trouble, nor does she have any further financial obligations.

In short, she’s in clear except for being harassed about where he is.

She used collateral to hire the bondsman. She put up her house, car, something in a contract. I hope the bondsman gets his property before she files. Why should the bondsman have to lose all his money instead of your friend?

She needs to cooperate and tell the authorities how to get in touch or at least where in Europe he is. She’s stuck having to pay. IDK if bankruptcy will get her out of that one. She shouldn’t get arrested unless se helped his lozer azz get outta town.

First,she needs to notify the bonding company.
Second, if she is not through paying the balance she is still responsible for the payment of whatever is reamaining.
And I don’t know about your county but in mine if he doesn’t not show up to court the county attorney can file a civil suit against the bonding which in turn she will have to reimburst them that money as well. to what she has already paid.which can be as high as the full bond amount.
she can’t be arrested but if she doesn’t pay they can send her info. to a collection agency to get their money owed.
She can revoke the bond but it won’t do much because she still won’t be in the clear until he is rearrested.

the guy she help bail out skipped to europe, unless they locate the bail bondsman and the fugitive or if she knows where the guy went tell a detective otherwise she`s aiding and abetting a fugitive and subject to arrest
