To buy a bail bond is typically 10% of the bail amount. The bail is going to depend 100% on your local jurisdiction, and will be set by them based on things like is it a first offence, how far over the limit was he, was the car otherwise legal, was he otherwise legal, does he have any other non-dui priors, did he have passengers (especially kids) with him, is he a transient or does he have a steady job, etc etc etc
Sorry, there’s no “fixed scale” for such amounts.

I am an ex bail agent. the fee depends on the bondsman. it would be no more than 15% for a bondsman charging the max amount, all the way down to possibly 5% if they are a cash bonding agent. this will vary from state to state. Plus a filing fee the court charges. Some states do not allow cash bondsmen. The average bail is $1000 for a first offense with no other charges. second offenses are usually $5000. Most bondsmaen write for an insurance company that backs the bonds. In return they charge 5% of what ever the bond amount is. The Bail Bondsman then keeps anything above that amount. If the state allows cash bondsmen, thn they have put up a cash bond with the state to write bonds with the courts. this allows them to charge less since they dont have to pay an insurance company their 5%.
